Close to the Cafes and Bars, Nice and Helpful Staff, Close to the shopping area, close to taxis and many bus stations
Dirty rooms, my sheets were dirty, The carpet on the floor looked so old and dirty, the room had a weird smell (I had to leave the windows open at all times)

The room I booked was fairly quiet and elegant with a French balcony and a large bathroom plus a bath. The location was marvellous and unbeatable, just a pleasant stroll away from Jewish Museum of Thessaloniki.

A well priced and comfortable hotel in an excellent and convenient location. Run by family members who are very accommodating and helpful, as was the chamber maid. Loved the quaint lift.

The staff were extraordinarily helpful--from picking us up at the airport for half the cost of taxis, to recommending affordable restaurants for our group of 21 and helping to make the arrangements, to helping with communications with our charter bus company and helping us to connect with the half of our group coming from Kosovo by bus. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They went way beyond any standard of hospitality that I have ever experienced. They even prepared a special breakfast treat on the spur of the moment--unasked- for one of our group whose birthday was the morning we were to leave, and that on top of the very generous, varied and delicious breakfast already prepared. If any of us ever return to Thessaloniki, The Tourist Hotel will be the place we'll stay. Family run since the 1960's and still in the same family.

As a business traveler, I appreciated the excellent location of the hotel, only one block away from the main square and within walking distance of the water and buses to old town and the train station. the breakfast buffet was a generous spread, and the hotel had a cool lift.
Felt like royalty, no complaint.
